Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing to the basket.

1 sc in all st evenly all around the nose
Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing
PART 6: Adding the chenille stems (facultative)
This part is completely facultative. I added some chenille stems in the last round of my basket and in the handle because I wanted the basket to keep in shape on a shelf and to make a nice decoration in my son’s bedroom. The chenille stems are visible from the inside only. If you make the basket for a baby or a young child, I would suggest not to use them.
I just inserted the chenille stems in the stitches (see picture).
PART 7: Sewing all together
Attach the ears to the basket. From the handle, leave 4 st, attach the first ear to the 4 next st, miss the next 6 st and attach the second ear to the next 4 st. You will then have 4 st left to the next part of the handle.
Sew the eyes to the basket (top of the eyes are between rounds 13 and 14 and bottom of the eyes are on round 11). I left 3 st between the eyes.
Sew the nose on round 10.
Use your tapestry needle and two strands of black yarn to make the mouth. Start from under the nose and follow the next steps:
