Tiny crochet koala pattern

If you’re looking for a sweet and quick tiny crochet koala pattern, you’re in the right place! These adorable tiny koala amigurumi are based on the same body as my popular tiny bear, making them perfect for crochet keychains, small handmade toys, or cute gifts for children.
This free crochet koala pattern includes three versions:
a koala without clothes
a dressed female koala
a dressed male koala
All versions are beginner-friendly, work up quickly, and use only small amounts of yarn. By changing colors and outfits, you can easily customize your koalas and create a whole little family.

This pattern is written using US crochet terms.
Material:
Light worsted yarn in:
Grey and white (koala without clothes)
Grey and pink (female koala)
Grey and green (male koala)
3.25 mm (US D) crochet hook
Small amount of:
Black yarn (nose)
White yarn (ears and belly)
Brown yarn (arms)
2 black safety eyes (7.5 mm)
Poly-Fil stuffing
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle

Pattern Overview
The pattern is written in three sections:

Pattern: How to crochet a tiny Koala?

Koala without clothes:

Legs & Body
Leg 1
Worked in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
With grey yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Round 2: [2 sc in next st, 1 inc] x2. (8)
Rounds 3 to 6: [1 sc in all st]. (8)
Fasten off.
Leg 2
Repeat Leg 1, but do not fasten off.
Joining the legs
 
Round 7: 1 sc in next 3 sts of Leg 2,
1 sc in next 8 sts of Leg 1,
1 sc in next 5 sts of Leg 2 (16)
Round 8: [1 sc in the next 7 st, 1 inc] x2. (18)
Round 9: [1 sc in the next 8 st, 1 inc] x2. (20)
 
Stuff the legs.
Round 10: [1 sc in all st]. (20)
Round 11: [1 sc in the next 8 st, 1 dec] x2. (18)

Stuff the body.

Ears (make 2):
Worked in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
Inner ear
With white yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Round 2:  [1 sc in the next st, 1 inc] x3. (9)
Fasten off and set aside for later.
Outer ear
With grey yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Round 2:  [1 sc in the next st, 1 inc] x3. (9)
Place white circle on top of grey circle and work through both:
Round 3: Insert your hook in the following st from both circles and work:   [1 inc in all st] (18).
Sew ears to each side of the head.

Nose:
With black yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Row 1: ch 4.
Row 2: starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 1 sc in the next 2 ch, 2 sc in the last ch. Now working on the other side of the chain: 2 sc in the next 2 ch. (6)
sl st in the next st
Cut the yarn (leave a long tail for sewing). Sew nose centered below the eyes.

Arms (make 2):
Worked in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
With grey yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Rounds 2 to 7: [1 sc in all st]. (6)
Cut the yarn (leave a long tail for sewing). Sew arms on each side of body, top of arms around Round 15.

Belly:
With white yarn and 3.25 mm hook
Row 1: ch 4. 
Row 2: starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 1 sc in the next 3 ch. (3)
Row 3: ch1, turn: 1 sc in the next st, 1 inc, 1 sc in the next st. (5)
Rows 4 to 7: ch1, turn: 1 sc in all st. (5)
Row 8: ch1, turn: 1 sc in the next st, 1 dec, 1 sc in the next st. (3)
Fasten off and sew centered on the front of the body.

The female Koala:

With grey yarn and 3.25 mm hook

Change to pink yarn

Fasten off. Set aside. Leg 2

Cut the yarn (leave a long tail for sewing). Sew arms on each side of the body, top of arms around Round 15.

Skirt:
Worked in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
With pink yarn and 3.25 mm hook Join the yarn in Round 10 of the body, working in the front loop only. You may join in any stitch, but it is recommended to join at the back of the body for a cleaner finish.

Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)

Change to green yarn
Round 3 to 6: [1 sc in all st]. (8)
Fasten off. Set aside. Leg 2
Repeat Leg 1, but do not fasten off. Work in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round. With the grey yarn and the 3.25 mm hook
Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)

Change for the green yarn and the 3.25 mm hook

Cut the yarn Leg 2: Make another leg just like you did for the first one but do not cut the yarn after round 6.

The Top of the Overalls
With green yarn and a 3.25 mm hook:
With the koala facing you, join the yarn in Round 10 of the body, working in the front loop only. Join the yarn in a stitch on the right side so that the overalls top will be centered on the front of the body, with 3 stitches above each leg.
The overalls top will be 6 stitches wide.

Row 1: working in the front loop only: [1 sc in the next 6 st]. (6)
Rows 2 to 5: ch1, turn: [1 sc in the next 6 st]. (6)
The Suspenders
Continue working and chain 15 to create the left suspender. Fasten off.
Join the green yarn in the stitch on the left side of the overalls top and chain 15 to create the right suspender. Fasten off.
Using a tapestry needle, sew the left suspender to the right back side of the trousers, and the right suspender to the left back side of the trousers.
