Pattern: How to crochet a Brown Bear Appliqué?

The head – Crochet Pattern Brown Bear Appliqué.

  • The head is worked in continuous rounds (as a spiral). Use a stitch marker if needed.

With a 3.5 mm crochet and the dark brown yarn.

  • Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
  • Round 2: inc 6 times. (12)
  • Round 3: [1 sc in next st, 1 inc in next st] x6. (18)
  • Round 4: [1 sc in next 1 st, 1 inc in next st, 1 sc in next 1 st ] x6. (24)
  • Round 5: [1 inc in next st, 1 sc in next 3 st] x6. (30)

Cut the yarn (but leave a long tail for sewing to the body).

Put the eyes between rounds 2 and 3, spaced by 4 st.

With the tapestry needle:

  • with the beige yarn, make a nose below the eyes (I used a double strand of yarn).
  • with the beige cotton thread, make a little stitch under the nose (I used a double strand of yarn)
  • with the pink cotton thread, make 2 little stitches for the cheeks (I used a double strand of yarn)
  • with the white cotton thread, make 2 eyebrows above the eyes, and working as close to the eyes as possible, make a line under the eyes (I used a single strand of yarn for both).
