Crochet Pattern – Mini crochet bacon
Start Here:
Please read the whole pattern properly before starting.
The pattern is written using US terms.
Size:
- 2 inches (5 cm)
Material:
- Yarn calling for a 5.5 mm hook in dark pink and beige
- Size 2.75 mm crochet hook (B/2). You can use a larger crochet. It will work fine but your toast will be slightly bigger.
- Thread in black for the mouth.
- 2 black safety eyes (4.5 mm)
- Stitch markers (if needed)
- Tapestry needle
- poly-fill
Abbreviations:
- chain (ch)
- magic ring (mr)
- single crochet (sc)
- increase (inc)
- invisible decrease (dec)
- slip stitch (sl st)
- half double crochet (hdc)
- double crochet (dc)
- SC2TOG: single crochet 2 together

Let’s start – Mini crochet bacon
Make 2:
With a 2.75 mm crochet and dark pink yarn.
- Row 1: ch 18. (18)
- Row 2: SC2TOG in the 2nd ch from hook and next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, SC2TOG. (17)
- Row 3: ch1, turn: working in BLO: SC2TOG in the 2nd ch from hook and next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, SC2TOG. (17)
Change for the cream yarn:
- Row 4: ch1, turn: working in BLO: SC2TOG in the 2nd ch from hook and next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, SC2TOG. (17)
Change for the dark pink yarn:
- Row 5: ch1, turn: working in BLO: SC2TOG in the 2nd ch from hook and next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, 3 sc in next ch, 1 sc in 1 ch, SC2TOG. (17)
Cut and fasten off.
On 1 piece: place the eyes (see picture below). With the black thread and tapestry needle, make a mouth.
Place both pieces together inside against the inside. With the tapestry needle and the dark pink yarn, sew both pieces together.

can you do a tutorial? i can read most patterns but this is very confusing.

I’m not understanding the pattern.. as I’ve not got enough chains to do the 2 together at the end… so do I need 20 chains to start as that would make more sense..

– Start working in the 2nd ch from the hook (so you will have 17 ch to work in as we missed the 1st one)
– SC2TOG in the 2nd ch from hook and next ch (17-2: 15 ch left)
– 1 sc in 1 ch (15-1: 14 ch left)
– 3 sc in next ch (14-1: 13 ch left)
– 1 sc in 1 ch (13-1: 12 ch left)
– skip 2 ch (12-2: 10 ch left)
– 1 sc in 1 ch (10-1: 9 ch left)
– 3 sc in next ch (9-1: 8 ch left)
– 1 sc in 1 ch (8-1: 7 ch left)
– skip 2 ch (7-2: 5 ch left)
– 1 sc in 1 ch (5-1: 4 ch left)
– 3 sc in next ch (4-1: 3 ch left)
