Pattern: How to crochet a No-sew Mouse?
Let’s start – No-sew crochet mouse
The body – No-sew crochet mouse
- The mouse is worked in continuous rounds (as a spiral). Use a stitch marker if needed.
- Remember to stuff as you crochet.
With a 2.75 mm crochet and grey yarn OR with a 4.5 mm and grey yarn:
-
- Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6) – NB: if you work with plush yarn: ch2; make 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. (6)
- Round 2: [6 inc]. (12)
- Round 3: [1 inc in the next st, 1 sc]x6. (18)
- Rounds 4-10: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
Place the eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, spaced by 2 st.
- Round 11: [1 dec, 1 sc]x6. (12)
Fill the body with polyfill.
- Round 12: [6 dec]. (6)
Cut the yarn, close the body and fasten off.
The ears – No-sew crochet mouse
With a 2.75 mm crochet and grey yarn OR with a 4.5 mm and grey yarn:
Insert your crochet hook under Round 11 on the side of the head (see pictures). Grab the yarn through the round and work as follows:
- Row 1: ch 2. (2)
- Row 2: starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 9 sc. (9)
Insert the tail ends of the yarn inside the body with a tapestry needle and fasten off.
Do the same thing for the 2nd ear.
The tail – No-sew crochet mouse
With a 2.75 mm crochet and grey yarn OR with a 4.5 mm and grey yarn:
Insert your crochet hook between Rounds 3 and 4 at the back of the body.
- Row 1: ch 12. (12)
Insert the tail ends of the yarn inside the body with a tapestry needle and fasten off.
NB: I used my tapestry needle along the tail to bring back the tail end inside the body and to secure it (don’t pull on it or the tail will be twisted).
With a small amount of pink and your tapestry needle, make a little nose between Round 7 and 8, over 1 stitch.
Congratulations on crafting the cutest crochet mouse! I’m looking forward to seeing what other wonderful creations you’ll come up with in the future.

Your ear description is really confusing…it doesn’t explain how to attach the yarn, etc.
I am sorry you found it confusing. I added a sentence to make it clearer. I hope it helps.
Hi,
Thank you for this cute little mouse.
I have replaced the plastic eyes with black yarn, and want to see if it can be used as a cat toy (supervised play only)
If it works, would it be ok to give a few to a shelter?
I do not want to sell/ make money of your pattern
Thanks
