Crochet Pattern Queen Elizabeth ll

Find here an easy crochet pattern to make a doll of Queen Elizabeth II

Hi everyone! You will find on this page a Queen Elizabeth II crochet pattern. We live in England for several years, our son was born there. Like everyone else, I was really sad the hear about the death of the Queen. So I decided to make this little doll for my kids to remember her and how an amazing lady she was.

The body is made in one part, so if don’t like sewing a lot of parts, it is the perfect crochet project for you. You will only have to sew the arms and the hair!

Edit: Some people have asked for a handbag so I added one. You can find the instructions to make it, at the end of the page.

I also made a little Corgi dog! You can find the free crochet pattern here!

Don’t forget to join my Facebook group,  you can ask your questions, and share your finished projects. I will regularly ask you what pattern you would like to see next (or you can even suggest something even if I am not asking!).

I hope you will enjoy and understand the pattern. If you have any questions, feel free to write to me, I will try my best to help you. And I would love to see your work!

Pattern: How to crochet a Queen Elizabeth II doll?

We start with the head and finish with the bottom of the body.

The head and the body – Queen Elizabeth Crochet Pattern

With a 3.5 mm crochet and the peach yarn.

  • Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
  • Round 2: [1 inc in all st]. (12)
  • Round 3: [1 sc, 1 inc] x6. (18)
  • Round 4: [2 sc, 1 inc] x6. (24)
  • Rounds 5-9: [1 sc in all st]. (24)
  • Round 10: [2 sc, 1 dec] x6. (18)
  • Round 11: [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)

Place the eyes between rounds 6 and 7, spaced by 3 stitches. Do not fix them yet. With the tapestry needle and the black pearl cotton, make some eyelashes. Fix the eyes.

With the tapestry needle and the brown pearl cotton, make a mouth (I placed mine over rounds 8 and 9).

Facultative: with a little piece of peach yarn, make a nose.

Join a new color, turquoise. We are now doing the body.

  • Round 12: working in the back loop only (blo): [1 sc in all st]. (12)
  • Round 13: [1 sc, 1 inc] x6. (18)
  • Rounds 14-17: [1 sc in all st]. (18)

Fill the head.

Fill the body as you go.

  • Round 18: working in the back loop only (blo): [1 sc in all st]. (18)
  • Round 19: working in the back loop only (blo): [1 sc in all st]. (18)
  • Rounds 20-23: [1 sc in all st]. (18)

Join a new color, black. We are now doing the feet.

  • Round 24: [1 sc in all st]. (18)

Fill the body before the close it.

  • Round 25: working in the back loop only (blo): [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)
  • Round 26: [6 dec]. (6)

Close the body and fasten off.

We are now adding a row in the front loop of round 24. This will allow your doll to stand up. You can skip this step if you don’t want it to stand up.

Join the black yarn in any front loop of Round 24 (I would suggest joining in a loop in the back so it won’t be too visible).

  • Round 27: working in the front loop only (flo): [2 sc, 1 inc] x6. (24)

Finish by a slip stitch in the first st of round 27 and fasten off.

With the gold yarn and your tapestry needle, make a little cross on the dress for the button.

The O Family

Throwback! For the last few weeks of our lives in the UK, we lived in a Manor. It was such a wonderful experience. I actually lived there already for several months when I was a student and went there for an internship. It was really fun to go back there as a family 7 years later! Look how tiny Tino was!
