Pattern: How to crochet a No-sew Ghost?
Let’s start – No-sew Crochet Ghost
The body – No-sew Crochet Ghost
- The ghost is worked in continuous rounds (as a spiral). Use a stitch marker if needed.
- Remember to stuff as you crochet.
With a 2.75 mm crochet and white yarn (or with a bigger hook of your choice)
-
- Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6) – NB: if you work with plush yarn: ch2; make 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. (6)
- Round 2: [6 inc]. (12)
- Round 3: [1 inc in the next st, 1 sc]x6. (18)
- Round 4: working in the back loops only: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Rounds 5-9: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
Place the eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, spaced by 2 st.
With your tapestry needle, make:
- a little mouth with some pink yarn, between Rounds 6 and 7, over 1 stitch.
- a smile with 1 strand of black pearl cotton (over Round 6).
Keep working on the body:
- Round 10: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 11: [1 dec, 1 sc]x6. (12)
Fill the body with polyfill.
- Round 12: [6 dec]. (6)
Cut the yarn, close the body, and fasten off.
With a 2.75 mm crochet and white yarn (or with a bigger hook of your choice)
Join the yarn in any front loop of Round 4 (I join mine in the back of the ghost to make it less visible):
- Round 3: working in the front loops only: [1 inc in the next 2 st, 1 sc]x6. (24)
Cut the yarn, and fasten off.

First time I was able to use the magic ring and make it work. Simple project. Had fun making it. I used the glow in dark yarn.
I am so glad! It must be amazing with the glow in the dark yarn!
