Crochet Elf Pattern

Find here an easy crochet pattern to make a little Elf

Hi everyone! You will find on this page a crochet Elf pattern. It is a new pattern to my Christmas Mini figure collection. This crochet doll collection is adorable and we will want to make them all. Lucky for you, they are easy and small crochet patterns! You will be able to make them all really quickly! You can also make Santa, a Gingerbread Man, and a Gingerbread girl.

The body is made in one part, so if you don’t like sewing many parts, it is the perfect crochet project for you. You will only have to sew the arms and the hair!

Don’t forget to join my facebook group,  you can ask your questions, and share your finished projects. I will regularly ask you what pattern you would like to see next (or you can even suggest something even if I am not asking!).

I hope you will enjoy and understand the pattern. If you have any questions, feel free to write to me, I will try my best to help you. And I would love to see your work!

Pattern: How to crochet an Elf doll?

We start with the head and finish with the bottom of the body.

The head and the body – Crochet Elf Pattern.

With a 3.5 mm crochet and the peach yarn.

  • Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
  • Round 2: [1 inc in all st]. (12)

  • Round 4: [2 sc, 1 inc] x6. (24)
  • Rounds 5-9: [1 sc in all st]. (24)
  • Round 10: [2 sc, 1 dec] x6. (18)
  • Round 11: [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)

Place the eyes between rounds 6 and 7, spaced by 3 stitches.

With the tapestry needle and the black pearl cotton, make a mouth.

Facultative: with a little piece of peach yarn, make a nose.

Fill the body as you go.

Fill the body before the close it.

  • Round 25: working in the back loop only (blo): [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)
  • Round 26: close the body and fasten off.

We are now adding a row in the front loop of round 24. This will allow your doll to stand up. You can skip this step if you don’t want it to stand up.

Join the green yarn in any front loop of Round 24 (I would suggest joining in a loop in the back so it won’t be too visible).

  • Round 27: working in the front loop only (flo): [2 sc, 1 inc] x6. (24)

Finish with a slip stitch in the first st of round 27 and fasten off.
