Find here a free Crochet Pattern Horse.
This little crochet horse is so adorable!! It can be done really quickly and will be a wonderful gift. The hair can be done in so many ways and you can make so many different crochet horses with the same pattern just by changing it! There is also a pattern for matching crochet baby booties here.
Don’t forget to join my facebook group, you can ask your questions, and share your finished projects. I will regularly ask you what pattern you would like to see next (or you can even suggest something even if I am not asking!).

Let’s start!
Head – Crochet Pattern Horse
Work in rounds, do not turn unless specified. If needed, use a stitch marker for the first stitch of each round.
With the light brown yarn and the 3.5 mm hook
Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Round 2: inc 6 times. (12)
Round 3: [sc in next st, inc in next st] x6. (18)
Rounds 4 to 6: sc in all st. (18)
Round 7: [4 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 4 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc]. (24)
Rounds 8 to 10: sc in all st. (24)
Round 11: [3 sc, 1 inc] x6. (30)
Rounds 12 to 14: sc in all st. (30)
Place the eyes between Rounds 9 and 10, spaced by 4 st. DO NOT ATTACH THEM YET. Once you have decided where to place the eyes, take them off. With your tapestry needle and some black yarn, make some eyelashes as shown in the picture below. Then, you can put the eyes back and attach them.
For a male horse, I would suggest to avoid the eyelashes but to do some eyebrows instead.
Round 15: [3 sc, 1 dec] x6. (24)
Round 16: [2 sc, 1 dec] x6. (18)
Stuff the head.
Round 17: [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)
Round 18: [6 dec]. (6)
Close the head.
Arms (make 2) – Crochet Pattern Horse
The arms in the picture are shorter than what the pattern said. I just realized afterward that longer arms would fit better but I forgot to take new pictures.

Round 1: start 5 sc in a magic ring. (5)
Round 2: inc 5 times. (10)
Round 3: in the back loop only, 1 sc in all st. (10)
Round 4: 1 sc in all st. (10)
Change for the white yarn.
Round 5: 1 sc in all st. (10)
Change for the light brown yarn.
Round 6: [1 dec, 3 sc] x2. (8)
Rounds 7 to 13: 1 sc in all st. (8)

The hair – Crochet Pattern Horse
It is now time to make the hair. I am not going to lie, it is a long work but I love it! It offers so many different possibilities. You can play with different hairstyles and different lengths,…
First, you have to cut a lot of yarn strings (from your dark brown acrylic yarn) about 10-11 inches long. Then you can start to attach the hair to the head with your tapestry needle as shown in the pictures below. Do the same for the tail.
You then have different options, you can leave it like this and cut it to have the same length everywhere.
With your tapestry needle, you can also separate from each other each string composing the yarn. You will then have some beautiful wavy hair!
I wanted straight hair, so I simply use my hair straightener at a lower temperature. Please test on a string of yarn before doing it! I am not responsible for any straightener damage…Test very carefully and do not stay too long on the same string!
Once it is done, cut the hair to have the same length everywhere. You can also add accessories in the hair. I decided to add a small red bow.
Congratulations, your little horse is ready! If you made it, please be sure to tag @natalinacraft on social media with the hashtag #natalinacraft, I would love to see your work!
