Please read the whole pattern properly before starting.
The pattern is written using US terms.
This pattern is made of the following parts:
- 1 Body with a skirt
- 1 bun
Size:
- 1.25 inches (3 cm) with light worsted yarn (I used I love this cotton from Hobby Lobby)
- 2.5 inches (7 cm) with plush yarn (I used Premier Parfait chunky)
Material:
- Yarn calling for a US I-9 / 5.5 mm hook in red, white, pink OR Yarn calling for a US L-11 / 8 mm hook in red, white, pink.
- Size US C-2 /2.75 mm crochet hook if you use worsted yarn (a larger hook can be used, your monster will only be slightly bigger) OR Size US 7 / 4.5 mm if you use plush yarn.
- Black cotton thread for the mouth and the eyelashes
- 2 black safety eyes (6 mm) if you use worsted yarn OR 2 black safety eyes (9 mm) if you use plush yarn
- Facultative for the bun: a tiny red bow
- Stitch markers (if needed)
- Tapestry needle
- Polyfill

- invisible decrease (dec)

Pattern: How to crochet a No-sew Crochet Mrs. Claus?
Let’s start – No-sew Crochet Mrs. Claus
The body and skirt – No-sew Crochet Mrs. Claus
- Mrs. Claus is worked in continuous rounds (as a spiral). Use a stitch marker if needed.
- Remember to stuff as you crochet.
With a 2.75 mm crochet and red yarn (or with a bigger hook of your choice):

- Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6) – NB: if you work with plush yarn: ch2; make 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. (6)
- Round 2: [6 inc]. (12)
- Round 3: [1 inc in the next st, 1 sc]x6. (18)
Change for the white yarn:
-
- Round 4: working in the back loop only (BLO): [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 5: working in the front loop only (FLO): [1 sc, 2 HDC in next st, 1 sc] x6. (24)
End by a slip stitch, cut the yarn and fasten off. Turn the skirt over the bottom of the body.
Join the red yarn in any stitch (back loop) of round 4 (better in the back to make it less visible):

- Round 6: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 7: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
Change for the pink yarn:
- Round 8: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 9: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 10: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
Change for the white yarn:
- Round 10: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
Place the eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, spaced by 2 st, but do not attach them yet.
With your tapestry needle and the black yarn, Make 2 eyelashes behind each eye. Secured the eyes. Make a mouth over Round 8.
Keep working on the body.
- Round 12: [1 sc in all st]. (18)
- Round 13: [1 sc, 1 dec] x6. (12)
Fill the body with polyfill.
- Round 14: Working in the back loops only (BLO): [6 dec]. (6)
Cut the yarn, close the body, and fasten off.
Let’s now work on the bun. Join the white yarn in any front loop stitch of round 13 (preferably at the back).
- Round 15: working in front loops only (FLO): [1 sc in all st]. (12)
- Rounds 16-17: [1 sc in all st]. (12)
Fill the bun with polyfill.
With your tapestry needle, close the bun by inserting the tapestry needle in each front loop of Round 17 and tighten it up.
Cut the yarn, and fasten off.
Add a little piece of red yarn around the base of the bun.
Facultative: add a little bow at the front of the bun.
With your tapestry needle and the white yarn, add 2 stripes over rounds 6 and 7 (see pictures below).
